We start by getting to know you and your business through a six-day initial analysis of your operational teams. For this we will need access to the business in order to work directly with these departments while they are on duty.
We will then report our findings to you, building a platform of recommendations that we can use to move your business forward.
Here’s how an example week may look:
We begin with the reception and reservations team, going over the past week’s business and looking at the plans for the weeks and months ahead.
Here we’ll shadow the housekeeping team as they prepare for the arrival of new guests after the departure of old ones. We will focus on cleaning costs and planning, and then tour the building with the maintenance team.
We will observe the restaurant team as they go from kitchen prep through to dinner service, and then spend time with the night audit and night porters during the night shift.
We will examine the set up and service from breakfast through to lunch, as well as meeting the bar staff. In the afternoon we will review all of the statutory regulation paperwork to ensure it is in order.
We spend the morning with the accounting department reviewing revenue management for all departments in the hotel, including profit and loss reports compared with the planned forecast. In the evening, we oversee arrivals with the front-of-house staff, staying through to the night if an event is being hosted.
We will follow the operational team as the work through the day, creating a final assessment of the hotel’s service.
